Public Engagement
Introduction
The iMBE is committed to engaging with the public and communicating the research we are undertaking. To date this has included:
- An exhibition at the Thackray Museum
- An exhibit at the Royal Society Summer exhibition (2005) and Science day at Buckingham Palace (2006)
- Delivering workshops at schools (year 6 to year 10)
- Hosting school visits at the iMBE
Over 20 iMBE researchers are trained Science and Engineering Ambassadors (SetPoint, West Yorkshire) and the Institute has received over £100K funding specifically for public engagement activities.
